My fabulous sister-in-law Liz has family in Utah, hooray! So when they came out to visit her family, they snuck in an evening and half-day to visit with us and the Beans. It was awesome, especially since I messed up on our family's availability for cousins camp this year, and we can't go :(
The Geigers came down for dinner, and brought the most amazing rolls and raspberry butter from a place called Maddock's (spelling Dave?) in Perry/Brigham City. They brought two dozen, and they were all gone. that meal. Thankfully some raspberry butter was left over, but it's not quite the same without melt-in-your-mouth rolls. The Beans came over a bit later, and we had a simply fantabulous time hanging out and playing and talking. We finally got to meet and hold our newest adorable nephew. The young kids all got along playing, and the hammock spent most of the
evening as a pirate ship. The kids paused long enough to eat some ice
cream, and played hard till bedtime.
And the Beans set up a tent to camp out that night. RD did remember to turn off the sprinklers, with a reminder, but we kinda forgot about the trains that go by during the night, cause they don't wake us up. woops. sorry :D
The Beans were hardcore and woke up early enough to make it to the hot-air balloon festival in Provo at 6AM, WITH their kids. No one else ended up going along. We spent the rest of the morning playing games that Juliana won, until she tired of winning and stayed out a few rounds. Then the Geigers had to take off, but RD was able to come home a little early and play some more games with the Beans, who went home after dinner.
I'm sad and disappointed we won't be able to see everyone in Whitehall this year. I sure love these guys! wish they all lived closer.
