The Grand Canyon...

...of Yellowstone was amazing. Bree was sleeping when we arrived to the Lower Falls Brink trail, so Cameron, Grace and I headed down while RD hung out with Bree, and Reese didn't want to come. The trail was short but pretty steep, but we'd done similarly steep ones in Sitka, though Cameron was a bit more worried since there weren't trees to stop you,  just sheer rock most of the time. They were a bit hesitant about doing the trail, but as we got to the falls and looked over, they were impressed.
some guy offered to take our pic; this happened several times during our trip, people were cool there

Cameron said 'this is the most amazing thing I've ever seen!". We oohed and aahed at all the water, how far away the canyon was, the cool colors, and the people on the long flight of stairs across the canyon.
When we got back, Aubree had woken up, so we headed to Inspiration point so everyone could get a view of it, but the trail was blocked off about 15 feet from the end, so the view wasn't quite as cool. When we go back, we want to explore here some more!

Of course we saw a bunch of buffalo/bison, deer and elk, and we even saw two bears!

We were in the park till late, and with little naptime, Aubree was having a hard time as we were driving the long road out to our hotel. Reese was a great helper, and eventually figured out how to keep her occupied:
That is an earbud. Our two-year old was plugged into Reese's mp3 player. you gotta do what you gotta do when it's almost 10pm and the baby is crying. right, Dave?!
That was one crazy night, Aubree kicking her legs to Reese's music, Cameron and Grace in the back of the van totally hyper, laughing and shrieking and being crazy, trying to go as fast as we could out of the park as it got dark without hitting anything, worried if we'll make it out before the park closes, finally getting to the hotel and Grace managed to drop her next days clothes in the toilet as she's getting pjs as the other two argue about where they're sleeping. We were all so exhausted after we got the kids into a bed we dropped off quickly.
Who's up for round three!?
