And time flies by...

he turns 9 today!

We had a party on Saturday, and he had a few friends over to  play a nerf dart version of capture the flag, a pinata (cause this boy seriously loves candy), and an ice-cream cake, with chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.

Today he wanted hot cocoa and "dad's toast, you  know, lots of butter" for breakfast. RD took the day off so he could take the kids to use their free roaring readers pass at the waterpark. They went on lots of rides, and Reese and Cameron went on the avalanche together! After 4 hours they were done with the sun and long lines, and came home for a dinner of Little Ceasar's pizza and homemade breadsticks. I convinced him to go the homemade breadstick route by promising to make them "unhealthy" (not 100% wheat and lots of olive oil) and use the "fake parmesan cheese".  Then tonight I'll take them to go see the Lego movie, in the discount theater so they can have popcorn or candy with their movie, instead of How to train a dragon 2 with no treats. He sure has a sweet tooth. Cause he's just so sweet!
