Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a great New Year! We were busy trying to get stuff done till christmas eve, but we at least got the essentials done! christmas eve was great, the boys wanted to decorate cookies, which was fun. Juliana had made some gingerbread dough while she was staying here the weekend before christmas, but all we had to decorate them were some mint-flavored sprinkles, so they tasted a little different but the boys still enjoyed them. Christmas was great, the boys were excited and had fun but weren't crazy. We at least got a good breakfast in them before they lived off their stocking candy.. cameron kept asking to 'check his stokcing' to get more chocolate..he loves it! The boys had lots of fun opening gifts; the cutest part was how christmas eve reese showed cameron the present he 'got ' him, and christmas morning that was the first present cameron wanted to open. They loved all their presents, but Reese was particularly excited about his Transformers.. I don't know how he knew about them, but he kept telling us he wanted transformers from santa, and santa followed through!

it was really nice that they were so occupied playing and coloring that we could actually relax and even read from books we got! It was amazing! Even the next morning, when I took them to hte kitchen to get breakfast, they got distracted by their stuff still out in the living room for another 20 min before they'd go eat. WoW!

We've all been eating more goodies than we should, and I"m kind of dreading my next apt. (well, really the scale). We've spent the week relaxing and hanging out, which has been fun. we've got some 'things to do' on this break, but we'll see what gets done. We got a cute coverall for our little girl for christmas, which was exciting, but otherwise we are totally not ready. somehow we need to get the rooms moved, her room made up, and all of those preps done, as well as all the interviews RD has in Jan, (including a 4 day trip to MI), and he's supposed to start and finish his dissertation this semster! I"m doing better, on most days now i can manage to do something besides a shower and a load of dishes, but we're kind of in denial about how much we have to do. which doesn't really help! We also just found out our favorite children's resale clothes store is no longer there, so we're not sure where to buy her clothes now. But we did finally get 72-hour kits all together (almost) for all of us, which we've been meaning to do for over a year now, so that was nice! Even more exciting, we had our second date in 9 months! and this time I didn't throw up! It was wonderful! Anyway, it feels like we're entering the new year already scrambling behind, but it'll be an exciting year of changes. We hope you all have a great New Year's eve and day!
