Playset

We had a little miracle happen conference weekend; we put our playset up!
We had to level out the spot some more after initially placing the mats down, and on Saturday  morning we got out by 8:30 to put them back down. These things are about 150 lbs apiece, the guy told us. Deciding on the exact placement and leveling them out after placing with some sand took us till right before 10 a.m. general conference.
After a great session listening to talks from church leaders, RD decided he wanted to just start putting it together. I thought there was no way we could finish it, with 4 hours of conference sessions still.  But we got started, RD doing most of the heavy lifting :) And I raked dead grass from the lawn. The kids did surprisingly well without too many interruptions.
Granted it is mostly already constructed, but he flew through the work! I was surprised how much he got done in such a short time! It was almost 2 pm, and the monkey bars were all set up, and the swings! The two sides still had to be connected, and the slide and fire pole put on, and it'd be up! We went in for the afternoon session, finally grabbing lunch. We went right back out at 4pm, and by 6 pm it was up! RD hurried in to watch the priesthood session with Reese, and the rest of us played on it.
It was totally a blessing to be able to get it done that day, that quickly. It took us as long to pull the mats around as it took him to put most of it together. All the next week, spring break, I was so grateful for that two hours of divine assistance; those little miracles in my everyday life that attest to His interest and love for me in even the trivial. How awesome that He'd help us get a playset put together (that saved my sanity the next week) in the time we had as we were spending half the day listening to messages inspired by Him.
The kids were on it that night, and on and off all the next week. It was totally the best part of spring break. We had talked a lot about what kind of playset to get, and the boys had claimed they didn't want one and wouldn't use one etc.  and wanted a basketball hoop instead. We decided we still wanted one that could fit all our kids, and when camelcamelcamel showed this set at a historical low, and amazon was giving back $8 that day, we went for it. And the boys have been on it as much as the girls! It's been awesome; even RD and I fall within the weight limits, so ALL of us can use it! Sweet! It's actually the most expensive item we've ever bought besides a car/home, but it's been worth it.
