Sledding

The day after Christmas RD took the younger three kids sledding down at a recommended place in Payson. They came back bushed, and reported the hills were a long 15 minute trek away from parking (RD pulling Aubree in the sled and carrying the other sleds), and the hills were great but the kids didn't like how long it took to walk back up.

The day after New Year's we watched shows, played games, and went sledding. We went to a fun hill, we could practically drive up to, and not too long since the kids complained about that the week before. There was a bump at the bottom the older three loved, and they got some pretty good air.

RD took Bree down once, and she gave it a thumbs up, but didn't want to go again. She played around while we sledded (slid, sled?) until RD went over the bump a few too many times and started to feel his age, and hung out with her. The hill was just right for me :) I finally convinced Bree to let me take her sledding down the hill. We went halfway up the hill, she loved it and wanted to go again and again and again. RD kept giving me a hard time about not going all the way up the hill, but you know, I got her to love sledding. We eventually made it at least 2/3 of the way up, and she liked it so much she said she wanted to do it again for her date. wooho! Bree lasted the longest, wanting to keep going. We played there for over an hour before kids were done. We swung by and grabbed little caesar's for dinner, and watched one more show before the break was over.
The kids prayed for a snow day the next morning.

I guess winter can be great after all (if you have kids to enjoy it with).
