Roasting mallows

A couple weekends ago Reese was invited to a birthday party at Mosquito Cove, and we thought it'd be great to have our own roast at the next picnic area to keep an eye on him and enjoy the beautiful sunny day (though still chilly)
Cameron loved finding dry grass, bark and anything else he could find that he thought would help with the fire. We explored the beach while Dad worked on the fire, and ate some chips and pretzels when it took a little longer than expected... (my fault..I had picked up RD and Reese from b-ball and had prepared and brought everything we needed...oops, do we need wood? kindling?:))

Grace and Cameron loved roasting some dogs, and mallows for smores.

Grace was so into the mallows she didn't even bother to roast 'em, and we decided we needed the chocolate more than her anyway:)

RD loves making the perfect roasted marshmallow!
