Grace is 2!

Saturday was Grace's bday, yeah for Grace! We love her so much! She was so excited for her birthday, she woke up shortly after 6am, climbed out of her bed, and turned on the hall light, which she has never done! She loved looking at her birthday cake all day, especially the butterfly, and kept wanting the candies off it. Whenever we'd talk about 'birthday' she'd say 'birthday!" and point to her cake. She was so cute opening her cards and presents, asking Cameron to help get started, 'ooohh"ing over and playing with each one before asking for 'more please"! She would get so excited and clap and grin for another present. She loved getting a board book version of one of her favorite books "From Head to Toe' by eric carle, and proceeded to do all the animals movements. When she opened her "I Spy" book she started playing with Cameron! she's so cute saying "i spy....".
When I brought her cake over, she immediately grabbed an m&m off; she had been waiting for those for a long time! She had a hard time blowing out her candle, she was blowing too low, but she kept going and going till she did it herself, though her brothers were anxious to help her. I had given her a piece of fondant earlier when I'd rolled it out, and she peeled it off her cake and ate it first, then went to work on the cake; Grace loves chocolate!
Afterwards we all went swimming to celebrate her day. Reese had been so excited to go all day long, but after being in the pool for about 1/2 hour, he got out and was done; too cold! Grace seemed to be ok with it, but took awhile to be comfortable in her baby float instead of being held. It's so wonderful to have her in our family, and to celebrate our Gracie girl.
