Summer FUN!

Grace can grasp small objects now, and is starting to put them to her mouth!
Hanging out in the yard... we love spring and summer!

We're still trying to have some fun, and bowling was first on our list. Reese tried doing it on his own, but when Cameron was doing better than him with the metal frame ramp that does it for you, he wanted to use it too. We had lots of fun, yeah! Cameron got bored about 3/4 of the way through, so Reese bowled for him. It was nice to relax and have some fun somewhere besides our backyard. Reese's favorite part was watching the screen above the lane to see what graphics would play after he bowled.... pins leaving a bowling ball jailer, knocking pins down on a green, etc.

We also had fun last saturday doing a 5K our elders quorom organized as a community event. It was at 8 am on a saturday, so I was doubting the importance of being involved, but RD convinced me it was a good idea to get everyone there... so we did, driving over to the park (just several blocks away) to get there on time. We walked most of the way, RD pullin ghte boys in a wagon and me pushing Grace in her stroller, but Reese woudl sometimes get out to run/walk, and would encourage us to run a lot, which we did a couple times (on the downhills:)). Much to my surprise it WAS actually fun, though when RD suggested we do this every saturday I knew that wouldn't work...we won't have friends around and free bagels and fruit every saturday! The best token we have of the 'race' are some little toy brains that were given out. It was sponsored by the health department, so it was a anti-drug theme, hence the brain (who can forget the 'this is your brain on drugs' ads?). It was a lot of fun making jokes, telling the boys, don't forget your brain, don't leave your brain outside, and funny to hear cameron say 'where's my brain' 'i lost my brain!".
