They soon came sauntering over, and Aubree was exclaiming excitedly "they are coming" as she simultaneously backed up, haha. Fascinated yet terrified, a typical theme with animals for her. So of course Grace and I had to stroke them.
Aubree eventually had me hold her while she pet the chesnut's neck, and Grace remarked on how they were like Black Beauty and Ginger. The girls tried feeding them a few leaves, which the horses actually ate a few of.
The boys got bored, and RD figured out we were on the wrong path, so they started to head back. The girls and I thought our destination was even better, but reluctantly we left them by the fence to meet up with the boys and try again to find the dripping rocks.
RD found the right trailhead this time, and after a short walk we went down the hill to the river and the dripping rocks.
The river was Cold, and only Grace had worn flipflops. RD tried to get Bree to go in, but she and Reese refused. Cameron went across the river and under the ledge, and Grace went into the river. It was a cool place, but we needed swim suits, flipflops, and some warmer weather.
We soon headed back home to play Dominion with the Beans and eat some amazing king salmon off the grill.
And for RD to get 3 calls.
