First day at BYU

We got back home early Sunday morning, RD was back at work Monday, and the older three started school Tuesday. It was crazy.
The school had messed up and didn't even have their records at their new school, we had to call several times to babysit and make sure they were assigned a classroom, and I had to go by the school the day after we got back, the day before school started, to make sure they were ok to go to school.
It was actually a really rough week with so little transition/prep time, but the kids did well with it. I never got a picture of the first day of school, but the kids didn't care, and it's not like they try to wear a favorite outfit or anything.
By the time the next week rolled around, it was time for Aubree's first day at BYU; preschool, that is. She was so excited to go, she kept asking if this was the day she goes to preschool. She endorses the concept of dressing up for special occasions, and wanted to wear her hearts dress. While she was excited, she didn't want me to leave her side, so we spent the first day together. The next day I left after about 20 min, and RD dropped her off the next day, so she's getting better. Her favorite thing has been to go on a hunt for different animals. She loves going to school at the place Dad works.

Dealing with the school district's special ed department and administrative offices has been a constant struggle of frustration and disappointment, but at least their teachers have been good, and they have a friend or two in their classes.
