Sweet tooth

I know Aubree loves frosting. She'll eat/lick the frosting off any treat and leave the rest almost untouched. On a recent afternoon I found Aubree snacking on frosted shredded wheat cereal. It was after school, and cereal is not an after-school snack here, so I took the box away from her and tried to salvage some of the cereal covering the table. Then I looked closer. I'm shouldn't have been surprised. But I was.

She was biting the frosted top off, and leaving the rest of the half-eaten bites across the table.
sigh
"Aubree, you can't just eat the frosting, you have to eat all the cereal!"

"Yes I can,
yes I can, mommy!"

I guess it was a poor choice of words. She can, she did, but she won't any more.
