A couple Sundays ago I suppose most people looked for the lunar eclipse and super moon. RD was glad it wasn't at 3 am (like the last solar event of a meteor shower that he woke up for and said was NOT worth it), but a convenient 8:11pm. Since we couldn't view it from our yard, we gathered the pajama-clad kids into the van, and pulled off the road to Micron with a bunch of other vehicles to get a good view of the moon. The kids wanted to get out to look, even though they had no shoes on. (that happens a lot, i think from having to tag along to drop off Reese to soccer). Aubree wanted out too, but she got a compromise of sitting in RD's lap. She loved it.
The kids loved being out there, and it was fun to sit out in the dark and marvel at the glory of creation. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful world. We must be so special to have it made just for us!
