RD's grandparents have this great shade tree right behind their house. Even in the heat of the day, it makes a tolerable respite for playing and relaxing. The tire swing, in the shade, is the most popular feature of the yard. RD would swing on the same tire swing when he was a kid, though they have replaced the rope. It's quintessential summertime;
especially when you add in the creek in the back.
I love it. We spend most of our time pushing kids in it, or sitting in the chairs out there, 'shootin the breeze'. It reminds me of all the visits we have made, with kids different ages, all of them twisting and swinging in the tire, nostalgia creeping in of past summers, toddlers that are now self-proclaimed tweens, and seeing these guys grow and change compared to the constant of the swing. sometimes it is hard to believe how lucky I am.

| Grandpa pushes! |
 |
| he never stays still long enough to capture, even when he's not swinging |
 |
| Bree 'pushes' Grace, and managed to not get knocked over herself |
and sometimes i have to remind myself of how lucky I am, cause one or more of these four blessings are pushing my buttons (usually it seems an orchestrated campaign to be a constant rotation).
