Cameron can now fish all by himself. I initially thought Cameron wouldn't be that into fishing, since he never wanted to touch the fish. However, this summer he has transformed himself into the self -titled "Dad's fishing buddy". He wants to go with RD whenever he goes, and he actually gets to, since he is great at being patient and never complaining about the rain or cold or no fish biting. He and RD have been out quite a few times this past month, and they even got to go out on a boat (Reese also went) with a friend from church. Though the kids got seasick shortly after stopping to fish for halibut (much to our freezer's disappointment), they did enjoy the boat ride.

This week low tide was soon after work ended, so RD took Cameron out to catch some pinks by Indian River by our home. Cameron was casting the spinner by himself, and hooked and reeled in this beautiful pink all by himself! He was pretty proud. He still doesn't like holding them up for pics, but they are pretty heavy. Here's to the new 'fishing buddy'!
