Samsing Cove campout

Last weekend was the Father/Son campout for our ward, and the boys were very excited about going camping. Because of our unique location, we had the cool opportunity to take a boat on the ocean and go to a cabin built in the Tongass National Forest.  The boys loved the boat ride, with the wind and waves blowing them around.  We had 20+ people attend and luckily the cabin was big enough for all of us.  It even had an oil stove inside to keep us warm.
They got to pig out on chips and smores...
There were a number of rope swings around that the boys enjoyed using!
Here's Cameron checking out the scene.  We were standing there looking out and he said quietly, "I like looking at the ocean, it's peaceful."
Here we are getting our gear together to load up in the boats.  Cameron and Reese were collecting shell casings to pass the time.

Overall, it was an awesome experience with the boys.  We had a great time and wish we had a boat to go out and enjoy the beauty of this land as a family.  Maybe some day!

Wow! What a cool place to have your father and son campout! I'm jealous.
