Summer to Fall

Fall is my favorite time of year, even in Sitka, when it is very brief. Fall isn't much different than summer, some of the trees are turning color, but it just feels right to have some sunny, crisp and cool days in fall..... it is sad to have those days be summer:)

Fall has brought a lot of changes, as it does every year. Soccer ended for Reese, Cameron learned to ride his two-wheeler, Grace started preschool, I started teaching seminary, dance show season ends, work gets busier with RD.

Grace started going to a local preschool two mornings a week, which she loves! She is so ecited she is big enough to "go to school like Reese and Cameron!", though the first morning she couldn't decide if she was big or not (she said if she wasn't big, she couldn't go; if she was big, she could go)

Reese had a lot of fun with soccer this year, especially when we were able to get cleats in Juneau so he didn't slide around and lose his shoes anymore.

We kept meaning to take Cameron to the park to learn to ride a two-wheeler, and finally did it! After a short run and push from RD, he was off and doing it! He has great balance, and learned to stay up very fast. Steering took a bit longer:) but it is fun to see him achieving something new.

But, I have to admit, I miss the lazy days of summer!

So many parents say they can't wait for school to start. It always made me feel special when my parents said they hated it when school started too. They also liked the lazy days of summer:) Love your little family and I'm glad that they are doing new and fun things.
