Sunshine on my shoulder....

makes me happy!!!

A different perspective on sunshine.
We have had a whole eight days of warm, sunny weather (high 60's low 70's!). The best weather in the last year!! And September is usually a rainy month, with about 1/4 in of rain everyday. A week of nice weather may not seem that unusual anywhere else. Here, it is the talk of the town. Everyone is talking about it. Everyone is outside whenever possible. The newspaper is writing articles about it. We have played outside so much everyday, I'm starting to get tired of it! That is amazing. I even have a barely visible sandal tan! We've played at the beach several times, played with the hose watering the yard/plants, hiked up to Harbor Mtn for a picnic and to pick blueberries, twice! and gone on a boat ride to picnic on another island! The amazing part of it is we have been able to Plan outings with friends, and with our family, cause we know it will be nice! Usually, we have no idea what the weather will be, it changes so quickly, so it's harder to make plans unless you don't care about the weather. With our crew, we care.

So our chores/homework/duties have been neglected this week, but we will always remember our week of summer!! Woohoo!
