We were so excited to have our first tree taller than 3 feet... but we found out we didn't need it this year. Grace loved the ornaments so much they all ended up out of reach. Only the top 3 ft of the tree was decorated, besides a few ornament we didn't think she'd break! Oh well, we ended up putting up a chain garland to decorate it, which she left alone. Note all the papers under the tree... one monday night the boys stayed up till almost 10 pm 'making presents' and putting them under the tree. It was mostly a ruse to stay up I think, but they were so excited to be giving to the family it was cute. Reese exclaimed "this is the best christmas ever, look at all the presents we made!"
We had a wonderful christmas, talking to family and being together! I even got to be on the phone with my sister who is a missionary in Portugal, yeah!!! Reese made the best excited faces....
We are so grateful for all of the thoughtful cards and gifts! It made our first Alaskan Christmas all the more memorable!
