On Monday Reese wanted to do the FHE lesson himself. Usually he picks something about Captain Moroni, but he started preparing by reading "my first BYU book', so we knew this would be different!

For our opening song we sang the cougar fight song! The he had us all watch the movie "tradition, Spirit and Honor", a movie about the BYU football team and those three values and how they relate to the team. Then Reese told us how they were so awesome and great... it was pretty funny, but he did share his testimony about how they were strong because of the power of the priesthood and faith, and because they went on missions, and we can be like them. His sincerity really came through... we wish we had recorded it, but at the moment it seemed inappropriate io interrupt. We need to clarify the difference between the gospel and BYU (even in his most fervent BYU zeal, RD will freely admit BYU does not hold a monopoly on 'righteousness'), but it was still touching to hear Reese relate how he feels and what he knows.

There is BYUopoly??! We gotta play!
Awesome! He's my husband's kind of kid! We tried to convince Justin to redecorate his room with a BYU theme, but Hotwheels won the day.
