This is the playground just outside our building...this is the view to the left as you just walk out our door. It's great, generally it's just a lot of fun. But it's also sometimes annoying to have it so close. As in they can see it's so close and want to play so bad when we have to go somewhere, or I need to stay inside while Grace is sleeping or to get something done. And there is some playground drama!! This is new for me! There are many kids that play there unsupervised, and it's so hard to know what to do when they are mean to my kids. There have only been a few times when someone's been really mean, but I'm just not sure what to do! For example, a kid (probably 3 or 4) kicked sand at me and Cameron, and hit and kicked Reese; besides talking to him, what's really appropriate, especially legally etc. Anyway, it's just kind of funny to have a little microcosm of life, the 'jungle' of a playground.
They also love to race their bikes up and down the walk in front our our apt. Cameron even keeps up usually, using his feet like Fred Flinstone. Go Cameron!! Reese usually likes to race more than Cameron, because, well, it's fun to race when you almost always win!

Reese loves to roar and yell as he rides his bike, which makes for some good grimaces. And yes, we know he's too big for the trike and needs a bike. He's king of the trikes though!

Do you notice that tongue hanging out?! Maybe we have another Michael Jordan!!

That would be hard to have a public playground right in front of the house. Good luck!
I love the bike races...my kids do that, too, and there's usually some yelling and/or tears (on the part of the loser). Nathan does the Fred Flinstone, too, but he's learning to use his pedals. It must be no nice having your boys play so well together.
It looks like so much fun. Your life seems beautiful. I am jealous that you get to be in CO. Keep having fun there.
This is the making of one mean biker gang!! Ride a wheely Reese!
