So, the kids were very excited about Halloween, especially Reese. He would say thank you I"m so excited about Halloween in his prayers everyday, and was worried about getting his superman costume done (he was right to worry and aks about it.. I finished it the evening of the trunk-or-treat, and it was just a few straight seams and iron-on velcro).
Cameron was going to be the same, but his costume didn't happen, and RD's mom sent a halloween package that had a cute fireman outfit, so he was happy to wear that (after Reese wanted to wear it!) He was often confused for paddington Bear, with the felt hat and yellow coat, but either way he's cute!
They both did a good job knocking on doors and saying trick-ot-treat and thank you, it was so cute. Cameron would get scared away by other kids or anything scary on the house, but the candy usually lured him back. People's dogs were the scariest part for him! But they were both happy and said they had fun! They were of course wired all that night, even though they only had a few pieces of candy. Reese still likes to dress up, and we're still dealing with all that Halloween candy!
My parents were also out htis last weekend, it was great to see them. Reese and Cameron get excited to ham it up for any audience, especially people that are around for awhile, so they really enjoyed their visit.
RD defended his prospectus last week (it seems so long ago!)which was a big deadline. Applications are still keeping him busy, but we're looking forward to 'the holiday season'! It's been gorgoues weather here, the boys and I usually play for an hour or two outside (well, i sit and referee, they play) after lunch waiting for Reese's van, and it's been so lovely! It's been a rough week since RD and I woke up on monday with colds, and the boys are getting them now, but hopefully that means we'll be fine for thanksgiving. We're still excited about having a girl, and Reese is really into it. He tells everyone he's having a sister, and the other day was talking to my tunmmy, saying "hey sister, want to laugh?" and started to sing 'bringing home a baby bumblebee'! him and cameron laughing after the oooww, he stung me! It was really cute. Cameron follows his lead and will say hey sister, but doens't quite get it like Reese. Reese felt her move once, and likes to pretend she's kicking him onto the floor. Great kids!

Thanks for the picture and Halloween update. I am home from the hospital, and doing well. It is a long slow road to improved function and reduced pain, but the glass half full should become easier to see now. The picture is great --I really like it. Did we get an email copy of it? We love you and appreciate your sharing your wonderful family with us!
Good times, cute kids...
